ICAS at PIFA Festival

During the weekend of September 24-25, Island Culture Archival Support hosted an information booth at the Pacific Islands Festival (PIFA) in Mission Bay, San Diego. The Pacific Islands Festival is dedicated to the promotion of the traditional cultures, attitudes, and values of the indigenous people of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.

You can view pictures of this colorful and informative event on their Website.

This was a great opportunity for our nonprofit organization to talk to people about our mission and have some fun in the process. Our game, “Matching the Traditional Purse to the Island” was played by many enthusiastic individuals. This year, our five winners for a Target Gift Certificate are:

1. Marlene Abel, Santee, CA.

2. Regina Estacio, Chula Vista, CA.

3.Cathy Napoleon, Bonita, CA.

4. Marilyn Sailiata, Buena Park, CA.

5. Vahessa Tuiove, Hawhorne, CA.

Thanks to all of those who stopped by our booth for a chat and/or a game. And thanks to PIFA for another outstanding festival!
